In episode eight of Sound Space, we will be talking to Juan Gomez about his passion for sound, music, and his work in the industry. Gomez is a Uruguayan audio engineer and guitar player currently residing in Montreal, Quebec. He began his career in the band Jimbo and in 2019 he gained a diploma from Algonquin College in Music Industry Arts where he stood out from the very beginning. Later, he became a studio assistant at Planet Studios and quickly became a favourite with artists and clients for his hard work , client management, and extraordinary audio skills. Currently, Gomez runs multiple studio sessions at the same location as a freelance recording and mixing engineer. He has worked on studio projects with artists such as Nikki Yanofsky, Corneille, Star Académie participants, and the TVA series En Studio. Additionally, he teaches studio production techniques and sound design courses at the College of Recording Arts Canada and works as a sound technician at Sovo Technologies where he engineers subtitle recordings.  Sound Space is a podcast where co-hosts Anthony Caci and Jaian Mascotto interview guests of the audio and music industry. Every episode, they will introduce a new guest and will dive into their beginnings and current participation, and contributions to the world of sound. 

Sound Space wants to present listeners with stories and experiences from musicians, producers, audio engineers, and more, within the industry. Jaian and Anthony want to create a space to learn about their fellow sound professionals as well as provide their audience with the knowledge of the trade’s happenings and hopefully inspire future audio enthusiasts to join the field.
