"The recording has a very rhythmic and percussive sound. I wanted to explore the textures from and in between the percussive elements, usually my process is the other way around. I've used the recording as the only sound source and it's my first submission recorded on iPad. 

"It was recorded as a live performance using a number of samplers, loopers, granulators and effects. The iPad apps I've used really lend themselves to performance which I find much easier on iPad due to the touchscreen interface, it kind of mimics hardware."
