Causeway Coast Dog Rescue held our anuual animal welfare conference, focusing on REFORM, at Queens University on 1st October 2025.  Key speaker at the conference, Christina Warner, Barrister and advocate of Ruby's Law, was interviewed afterwards on her thoughts at the conference and of the discussions which took place.

Christina designed Rubys Law following her work in Family Law, realising there is a gap in the legislation to protect those experiencing domestic abuse when leaving with pets.  Realising that pets can also suffer abuse from the perpetraitor it is important that protections are also put in place to protect the animal which will also protect the people.  Full presentation to follow.
