Hello! Welcome back to episode fifteen of our monthly podcast about games and game audio. We're incredibly excited to be bringing this month's episode to you with the help of Pro Sound Effects, who are very kindly sponsoring us. They provided us with a couple of copies of the fantastic Odyssey Collection: Essentials library, which we checked out and discuss in this episode. Barney also dived in and had a go at using the library to design a cool gunshot sound, which you can hear in the episode. Additionally, we talk audio tests for sound design gigs.

A big thanks to Pro Sound Effects for supporting us - we had a lot of fun exploring this fantastic library. The Odyssey Collection: Essentials is an amalgamation of the 30+ years of recordings made by Hollywood legends Richard L. Anderson and Mark Mangini, who have worked on titles like; Blade Runner 2049, Mad Max: Fury Road, Transcendence, Anchorman, Madagascar, Edward Scissorhands, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Gremlins ... and many, many more. It's an honour to be able to dip into this incredible legacy of sound, and share our thoughts on the podcast.

The Odyssey Collection: Essentials is a fantastic first generalist library for professionals, newcomers and freelancers alike, and Pro Sound Effects also support freelancers with their Freelancer Program, which offers benefits like up to 60% off on libraries and software, and sound tutorials - and it's free to join. If you like what you hear of The Odyssey Collection, you can pick up a surround explosions library from Mark Mangini and Richard L. Anderson called Detonate for just $19 - only through the Freelancer Program.
