If I say "Frankenstein" do you automatically think of the big monster with the flat-top and pegs sticking out of its neck? The monster was a creation of Dr. Frankenstein who sourced the parts of this creature from various places, sewing pieces together to make a single entity. But nonetheless, the end result was still in fact, a monster.
I wonder if much of Christianity has done the same thing with its followers, or if its followers have done the same for their faith and life in Christ. Have we created a monster? What is our primary source of life? Truth? Faith? Knowledge? Understanding? It seems as though many have looked to pastors, teachers, reformers, theologians, professors, doctors of divinity, youtube, articles, Facebook, and all kinds of other places to piece together their faith and understanding of Yahweh. However, scripture shows us that Jesus is advocating for us to look to one place.
