Something of a band-aid to the fractured relationship between Australia and South Africa.
Cricket Australia is promising sanctions against Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft over the ball tampering incident.
The trio will be sent home tomorrow, after being reported for breach of conduct.
Pretoria cricket journalist Jean-Jacques Cornish told Mike Hosking South Africans will welcome the news.
"The ICC sanctions over here are like a slap on the wrist. People are looking forward to the prospect of stronger sanctions."
Cricket Australia has cleared coach Darren Lehmann and other players of wrongdoing.
