South Australia Invests in LIV Golf Course Redesign, Top Players Withdraw from Open Qualifying

South Australia Premier Peter Malinauskas is facing criticism following the decision to redevelop a city golf course to host LIV Golf events. The redesign aims to meet the standards required for LIV Golf, with costs expected to range between $150 and $200 per square foot for the upgrades, aligning the course with PGA standards.

A notable LIV Golf player experienced a setback after being disqualified from The Open qualifying round due to a subpar performance over nine holes. Consequently, the golfer will now participate in the John Deere Classic on the PGA Tour, starting this Thursday.
