It’s Friday, July 31st and here are today’s top headlines from the newsroom of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. I’m Trevor Ontiveros. For the third straight day, Florida reported a new record high number of new coronavirus deaths: 253. That’s significantly higher than the 216 deaths reported Wednesday and the 191 deaths listed Tuesday. Florida now has had 6,709 people die from COVID-19 complications, according to the state Department of Health.
