The contrast between the two reveals something every believer must honestly face. Proximity is not loyalty, and attendance is not surrender. The good news is that Christ remains faithful even when we do not, and He pursues the very people who deny Him.

Jesus' arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane reveals His divine authority even in apparent defeat. Walking purposefully toward His betrayers, Jesus crossed the Kidron Valley where sacrificial blood flowed during Passover, symbolizing His role as the true Lamb.
