A game that looked like a mountain to climb was just that, as the deposed champions Manchester City dominated the game but failed to find the goal that would have won the game. Chelsea were hoping that their good form would carry them in their match against another team hot on the trot, Newcastle. Unfortunately, their hopes for Champions League football were dashed as Newcastle took all three points. Forest also dropped points as they suffered a late draw against already relegated Leicester.
