Join Kristi Bryant, the host of Southern Gone, as she delves deeper into the case of Stephen Lankester-Cox. Featuring heart-wrenching interviews with Stephen's mother and the lead investigator of this case.
Stephen Lankester-Cox went missing on November 18, 2004. He was last seen leaving his mother’s house where he resided in Acworth, Georgia. This was the last time anyone in his family saw him...or was it?
Several developments have taken place throughout my investigation in this case. I had the opportunity to interview Sherron Lankester, Stephen’s mother, where she gives some gut-wrenching details that she heard about possible ways that Stephen may have died. She also shares her favorite Mother’s Day story about Stephen. It will bring you to tears.
I had the opportunity to interview Detective Haugh with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department. He has been the lead investigator on this case since 2015. He provides some possible insights on the circumstances of Stephen’s disappearance. However, it leaves us with more questions than answers. The police believe that Stephen is deceased and this is now classified as a criminal investigation case.
If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Stephen Lankester-Cox, please contact the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department at 678-493-4200.
