God uses sin sinlessly.
Big Idea: God is sovereign and hearts are hard.
The 5th Trumpet
Revelation 9:1
Isaiah 14:12
Luke 10:18
The Devil is still God’s Devil.
Luke 8:28-31Revelation 9:2-3
Revelation 9:4
Satan’s hordes are at work across the earth, destroying people’s lives, inciting them to commit appalling crimes against one another, making life utterly miserable for millions, holding them captive in false religions.
Revelation 9:5-6
Afflictions are often the means by which God brings us to Himself.
Revelation 9:7-10
Revelation 9:11
Revelation 9:12
The gospel is not a tranquilizer for worried weaklings to help them sleep at night. It is not a mass of dead dogmas, deep frozen in some ancient cathedral to be carried as a burden through life and thawed out five minutes before death. The gospel is not a list of religious rules and regulations to be strung around the soul like a lucky charm in case of accidents. No, the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is a message—and what a message! It is a living message from the living God for living people, just like us, for people with sins just like us, for people with sorrows and heartaches just like us. It is the only message on the face of the earth with concrete promises and absolute assurances of an eternal inheritance that will withstand the impact of death and the collapse of the universe.

Pray!
The message of repentance is not ‘Stop that!’ It’s Jesus saying, ‘Come to me.’
Luke 8:35
No Jesus, No Peace.Know Jesus, Know Peace.
If all regenerate church members in Western Christendom were to intercede daily simply for the most obvious spiritual concerns visible in their homes, their work places, their local churches and denominations, their nations, and the world and the total mission of the body of Christ within it, the transformation which would result would be incalculable. Not only would God certainly change those situations in response to prayer—we have Christ’s word that if we ask in his name, he will do more than we ask or think—but the church’s comprehension of its task would attain an unprecedented sharpness of focus. Perhaps much of our prayer now should simply be for God to pour out such a spirit of prayer and supplication in the hearts of his people.
Prayer is not overcoming God’s reluctance, but laying hold of His willingness.
Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins. I want to turn away from my sins and place my trust in You as my Lord and Savior. Please receive me now. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Jesus, save the lost and guide the saved.
