When looking at the Christmas story we see the sovereignty of God...

1) Unseen Sovereignty- it looked like Caesar was sovereign but in reality God was in control of everything happening.

2) Mysterious Sovereignty- God’s sovereignty in these circumstances was mysterious- no doubt it didn’t make sense to Mary and Joseph- the same is true in our lives.

3) Beautiful Sovereignty- in the end God’s sovereignty is beautiful for his children. It brought about our Savior and our salvation.
