In this short update, I share why the podcast has been quiet and what’s been happening beneath the surface.
This pause wasn’t about disengagement — it was about depth. Over the past year, the work has moved into more complex conversations around systems, sovereignty, and long-term decision-making. Rather than rush content, I chose to step back and reassess what this platform should truly serve.
I also share where we’re heading next, including early thoughts on reimagining the show as the Sovereign Systems Podcast — with sharper signal, clearer purpose, and conversations that matter.
This episode is a checkpoint, not a conclusion.
More soon.
In this episode of the Strategic Multifamily Investing Podcast, I talk with Zach Zimmer about the failures and successes in real estate. Here is what he says about himself.
"I followed the standard path. Advanced degrees, career success, giving my all for my employers. Then one day my division was eliminated and a six-figure income disappeared with a baby on the way. That painful scare combined with seeing both my father and father-in law fall into bad health within their first few years of retirement... I spent the next six years changing my mindset, learning and taking action creating a passive income portfolio 3x+ what I made as a Corporate Director. The next time I was part of a corporate reduction I was much better prepared and settled on retiring at 39 as a passive "1%'er"!"

Ken is an out-of-the-box thinker with twenty years background in software and technology, and the last 15 years in real estate sales and investments. As he became experienced in the real estate industry, he saw that the industry was lagging far behind the rest of the world in the creation and adoption of truly useful technology. All the real estate tech solutions that were available to Real Estate Investors, Brokers, Wholesalers seemed to provide similar solutions just packaged in a different user interface. There is more to PropTech than just public records data and trying to replace brokers with software or AI. He understands that we don’t need to cut another slice from brokerage commissions.
