Our guest today is an entrepreneur who knows a lot about elite performance. He built his first multi-million dollar business while still in college, before heading to Wall Street. But, after working at a desk job, Joe wanted to get back in shape, and help other hard chargers do the same. 

He went on to start Spartan Races, an adventure race inspired by the Spartan lifestyle, which he discusses in his best-selling books “Spartan Up” and “Spartan Fit,” and his recently-released third book, “The Spartan Way.”

Earlier this year, Spartan acquired the adventure racing company “Tough Mudder”-- just weeks before a global pandemic hit.
