Sometimes following God doesn't look like moving faster.
Sometimes it looks like slowing down, letting go, and allowing Him to rebuild the parts of us we didn't even realize needed healing.
In this powerful conversation, I'm joined by Dr. Patrice Carter as we talk honestly about what it means to walk the "good path" when it feels unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and full of questions.
Together we unpack seasons of deconstruction, learning to hear God's voice in new ways, overcoming religious expectations, embracing vulnerability, and discovering that God's presence isn't limited to quiet time—He's with us in every ordinary moment.
If you've ever felt like God is changing everything you thought you knew about yourself, your purpose, or your relationship with Him, this conversation will remind you that unfamiliar doesn't mean you're lost.
It may be the very place where God is rebuilding you.
In this episode, we discuss:
Memorable Quotes
"The good path doesn't always feel good because it's unfamiliar.""God isn't asking for perfection. He's inviting us into relationship.""Sometimes God changes how He speaks so we learn to trust Him in new ways."Key Takeaways
Whether you're navigating a season of transition, asking hard questions, or simply trying to hear God's voice again, my prayer is that this episode encourages you to keep walking. The unfamiliar road may be the very place where God reveals Himself most clearly.
Share this episode with someone who needs the reminder that they're not lost—they're being led.

How do you know you’re still on The Good Path when distractions keep getting louder?
In this honest and deeply personal episode, I’m sharing what God has been teaching me in real time about focus, ambition, business, pregnancy, ministry — and the tension of feeling pulled in multiple directions at once.
As a small business owner, mom of (almost) four, and woman called to ministry, I know what it feels like to want growth, provision, impact… and still sense God asking you to pull back and realign. What happens when good things start competing with God things? What do you do when ambition and calling collide?
In prayer, I saw a picture:
An arrow aimed at two targets.
And I heard clearly: “One arrow cannot hit two targets at the same time.”
This episode is about that revelation — and what to do when you feel distracted, behind, pressured, or unsure if you’re even aiming at the right thing.
Inside this conversation, we talk about:
If you’ve been:
• Comparing your progress
• Feeling behind in business
• Wrestling with ambition
• Navigating a season of pause
• Or simply wondering, “Am I doing what God actually wants me to do?”
This episode is for you.
Distractions will come.
But a split arrow is ineffective.
The Good Path requires focus, surrender, and trust — especially in seasons of tension.
I pray this conversation helps you realign, refocus, and remember that God is the One pulling the bow — and His aim never misses.
If this episode blessed you, share it with a friend who might be feeling off target. And don’t forget to subscribe and leave a review so more women walking The Good Path can find this space.
See you in the next episode.

Welcome back to Season 2 of the Speak Daughter Podcast.
In this episode, we introduce the central theme for the season: The Good Path—a concept rooted in Proverbs 2:9–11 and God’s definition of wisdom, not our own.
What does it really mean to walk the good path when it feels hard, lonely, confusing, or unfair? When loss, rejection, exhaustion, and opposition show up—even when you’re doing your best to follow God?
From motherhood, pregnancy, marriage, and business ownership to faith, burnout, and obedience, this episode is an honest conversation about what it looks like to trust God’s wisdom when life doesn’t go according to plan.
The good path doesn’t always feel good—but it is always God.
✨ In this episode, we talk about:
If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re on the right path—or struggled to trust God when things feel heavy—this episode is for you.
📖 Key Scripture: Proverbs 2:9–11

After a few weeks away, I’m back—and this episode comes straight from real life. Between sickness, business demands, pregnancy, and everyday pressures, God has been reminding me of the importance of self-control, especially when it comes to the words we speak.
In this episode, I share a vulnerable moment where frustration could have easily turned into hurtful words—and how the Holy Spirit stepped in right on time. We talk about why self-control isn’t just willpower, why believers are held to a higher standard, and how the Holy Spirit actively helps us pause, redirect, and choose life instead of momentary satisfaction.
If you’ve ever struggled with what comes out of your mouth, replayed arguments in your mind, or felt that tension right before saying “the thing,” this episode is for you. True self-control is not something we manufacture—it’s something we yield to.
Show Notes
In this episode of the Speak Daughter Podcast, we explore:
📖 Galatians 5:22–25 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control… Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”
Why it matters:
This passage reminds us that self-control is not something we achieve through discipline alone—it’s produced by the Holy Spirit. Verse 25 is especially important because it shows that living by the Spirit requires intentional dependence and alignment. You cannot keep in step with the Spirit without first yielding to Him.
📖 Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life and death.”
Why it matters:
Your words are not neutral. If God has gifted you with influence, communication, or leadership, the enemy will often try to corrupt that gift through careless, reactive, or hurtful speech. This is why self-control with the tongue is both spiritual warfare and stewardship.
Action Steps You Can Apply Today
Refinement is not failure—it’s preparation.

Love languages can be a helpful tool for understanding how we give and receive love — but what happens when they quietly replace God’s definition of love? In this episode, we explore the subtle ways love languages can become an idol, distort our expectations, and shift our focus from Christ to self. You’ll hear biblical truth on why our ultimate “love language” should be obedience to God, and how to use relationship tools without letting them rule your relationships.

Last week my mind and emotions were heavy because I had felt a disconnection from God - I hadn't been intentional in my prayer time and in seeking God throughout my days. As a result i was plagued by thoughts of "i wont ever be able to get it right" and "God is disappointed in me."

In this episode, walk with me through 4 actionable, practical steps you can take to help get up when the ongoings of life have you drifting away from God.
Matthew 4;10
