Chapter 1:
-The one-time Conservative party leader contender continues to face heat over a series of explosive Tweets condemning Canada’s diversity and multiculturalism. Tony Clement says Bernier is “raging at the sky”, and not the politician he once supported.
Chapter 2:
-A 40 year old woman from Sierra Leone fears she’ll be separated from her child forever, after her refugee status was denied, but her daughter’s was accepted. Immigration Canada approved the refuge status of 11 year old Tenneh, amid fears she’d be subjected to female genital mutilation once she returned to Sierra Leone. But the application submitted by her mother was denied because Immigration Canada doesn’t consider parents or siblings of child refugees “family members”.
Chapter 3:
-It’s smoky out there! The Air Quality Index for parts of Metro Vancouver stands at 10+, or “very high” - which is the worst rating you can get. Nine communities across BC are under the same rating. How does the smoke impact your health? And when will the smoke clear?
Chapter 4:
-it’s emerged the man responsible for investigating money laundering in BC failed to interview one of the key players. Great Canadian Gaming executive Walter Soo, who was in charge of the highly profitable VIP gaming program, also sits on the Richmond Oval board with Peter German. He’s denied his probe into “dirty money” in BC has been compromised.
