Special Edition September 1 and 2  Kendra Lynn is the organizer bringing the “Remembering Our Fallen National Monument” to McDade Park in Scranton.   Kathleen Smith is Regent of Shawnee Fort Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution. She joins us to talk about historic preservation they are involved with plus she has an invitation to an upcoming luncheon focusing on local history. Anna Clark, author of  “The Poison City” about the state of the water in Flint, Michigan and why we should be paying attention to our own water sources. The 103rd year of the Nicholson Bridge, also known as the Tunkhannock Viaduct is coming up later this month. Joan Kopeski has details on the big celebration. Safety is always a number one concern.  Residents in the city of Scranton have a program to get not only free smoke and carbon monoxide detectors but free installation as well in their homes. Scranton Fire Superintendent Pat DeSarno has details on the program he says he wishes more residents would utilize.
