Last week, the General Synod of the United Church of Christ (our denomination) met. This gathering meets every three years and is made up of delegates representing UCC churches and conferences from all across the country. Our church actually had two delegates attend the meeting: Eliot Gaff who is now in college at the University of Vermont but grew up in the former First Congregational Church and our Minister of Children and Families, Katy Fazio.
