For those unfamiliar with this byzantine process, elected and appointed State Party leaders from across Florida will cast weighted votes to decide the next Chair. These votes are divided between a committeeman and committeewoman woman from each county.  On Thursday, November 30th, the Miami-Dade Democratic Party hosted a forum for the four candidates seeking to be the next FDP Chair: Alma Gonzalez, Member, DNC & Hillsborough County CommitteewomanStacey Patel, Chairwoman, Brevard County Democratic PartyTerrie Rizzo, Chairwoman, Palm Beach County Democratic PartyMonica Russo, President, SEIU FloridaFlorida Action Cast host Matt Mawhinney co-moderated the forum along with Miami-Dade Democratic Party Chairman Juan Cuba and Florida Democratic Party Treasurer & Miami-Dade State Committeewoman Francesca Menes.

On Saturday, April 14th we sat down with Steven Machat, Democratic candidate for US House of Representatives in District 26. The show was recorded live at the Bar at 1306.
