We are joined once again by Andrea Romero. She had shared part of her story in an earlier episode titled "Mom to an Angel: loss of a child" and now she is back to continue her motherhood journey with raising her daughter, Sarah, who has special needs. Less than a year after losing her son, Andrea noticed that her daughter started to develop the same symptoms. Sarah suffers from a neurological disease that has no name, she eventually lost her sight and some of her hearing. Five years ago, she separated from her husband and found herself really struggling, both financially and emotionally. At which point, she made a decision to give physical custody to Sarah's father. Throughout the years and all the struggles, she found support in the family she thought she had lost and is back in her daughter's life, co-parenting better than ever.
