No, do not adjust your eyesets, it’s not the Ronnettes or the Crystals, it’s the Royalettes. The Rosspunk mentioned to me recently that we haven’t dropped a lot of Phil Spector! Well being big Spector fans, I felt I needed to (sort of?) balance the books a bit. So instead of another ‘Best of’ I went down a similar route to a couple of previous playlists we’ve done, of ‘covers, associations, friends & influences’ etc… taking in a couple a singer/songwriters from the famous Brill Building in New York, as well as a couple of other bits & pieces that seem to fit the mood…….
