WHICH IS CORRECT: I and YOU / YOU and I?

Objects:

To be sincere, none of the second parts of the above pairs is incorrect. It's just considered polite to place another person ahead of oneself, which is why the first part of the pairs "YOU and I", etc, are considered better.

And to some extent, politeness is an important factor in excellent speaking and communication, hence, we all are advised to go for the the first parts of the pairs.
