The High Court has expressed suspicion that the gold plating at Sabarimala may have been completely replaced, citing serious findings in the VSSC report. In its interim order, the High Court stated that the concerns surrounding the alleged gold misappropriation are well-founded and have been scientifically established, as observed by the Devaswom Bench. The court also recorded its satisfaction with the ongoing investigation and ordered the expansion of the probe team by including two additional officers.

Rahul Mamkootathil MLA, who was arrested in a sexual assault case, has been shifted to the Mavelikkara Sub-Jail. In a highly confidential operation, he was taken into custody from a hotel in Palakkad at midnight.

The arrest follows a complaint filed six days ago. Action was taken immediately following instructions from the Chief Minister, after the survivor sent a distressing message.The police maintained high secrecy during the midnight raid and subsequent transit to ensure the arrest was carried out without prior leaks.
