In this episode, we visit again with Harold Lloyd’s granddaughter Suzanne Lloyd. Suzanne is the caretaker of the Harold Lloyd film library. We talk about one of Suzanne’s favorites, an early one called Speedy. We talk about the non-traditional Hollywood production of the film. We talk about a few of the gags and characters including Babe Ruth himself!
We also talk about the experience of growing up in a home with a famous movie maker like Harold Lloyd. We also do the “what if” we could have seen Lloyd, Chaplin, and Keaton on the same screen.
Be sure and celebrate National Silent Movie Day. It’s a new annual celebration of silent film history and raise awareness about the race to preserve surviving silent films.
