We have a special guest Janani who is representing an amazing initiative called Paathai (journey/path in Tamil). We believe this is so timely and will be impactful. We talk about the impact of COVID lockdown on mental health, the effects of war and asylum-seeking on our parents and how this has trickled down to our generation. We dive into the initiative and look at what Paathai is looking to achieve. We share our stories, our losses and our gains so you can know you aren't alone. 

What a week its been! Within a few days of announcing the birth of the European Super League, we had chaos across the world! What is happening to football?! Is it actually about the fans or is it all about the money? It's  been a week of devastating news with the loss of another teenager's life, Fares Maatou who was tragically killed in Canning Town, Newham. Our condolences go to the family of Fares and we hope justice is served. On another note, it's also been a week of justice as Derek Chauvin was convicted of murdering George Floyd. In this episode we talk about the Black Lives Matters movement and police brutality. We then touch on what it means to be BAME. Is it okay to say BAME? Is this positive discrimination?

We know Michael Jordan for being one of the best athletes in history with more achievements and trophies than you can imagine but what's so great about this quote is that he focuses on the failures he's encountered rather than his successes. To be successful in life you have to take chances and you have to be prepared to face failure along the way, but this isn't the end. Michael Jordan succeeded because he kept going, kept getting better each time he played. He didn't let the losses and the missed shots keep him down. The failures fuelled his passion to achieve greatness!
