In this first-season episode of Spiritual Awakening 101, Daniel Lucas welcomes Caleb Matthews, founding director of C-Link, motivational speaker, and co-founder of Itiner Oasis, a workspace for digital nomads and remote workers.
Caleb discusses what he calls the "night season," exploring the role sleep and dreams play in our lives and how his SSB method spirit, soul, and body shapes his approach to personal growth. He shares his spiritual perspective that dreams can carry meaning and invite reflection, and considers how people might pay closer attention to their inner lives and life experiences.
The conversation also explores the relationship between spiritual insight and practical strategy. How might a dream prompt someone to reflect on a challenge or a decision? What can people learn from different seasons of life? And how can they explore spiritual ideas while remaining thoughtful about what those experiences mean to them?
Join Daniel and Caleb for a reflective conversation about dreams, spirituality, personal design, and the search for clarity during life's quieter hours.

What happens when an unexpected experience changes the direction of your life?
In this episode of Spiritual Awakening 101, Daniel Lucas welcomes Mr. Herman Petrick, an energy healing practitioner with nearly 15 years of experience, to explore the personal journey that led him toward a spiritual calling he never anticipated.
Raised in a Christian household in the United States, Herman began exploring other spiritual traditions in his early forties. Reading about the Hindu chakra system sparked his curiosity about the body, energy, and different ways of understanding spiritual experience.
He shares a pivotal encounter after moving to New Zealand. While visiting a friend who reported distressing nightmares and what she believed were dark energies in her home, Herman felt compelled to intervene. He recounts asking whatever might be present to leave. When his friend later told him the disturbances had stopped, he interpreted the experience as a turning point that inspired further study.
Through Herman's personal account, this conversation explores belief, intuition, spiritual curiosity, and the search for purpose. His experiences and interpretations offer listeners an opportunity to reflect on how unexpected moments can shape a person's understanding of their path.
Listen with curiosity. Reflect on the story. Explore what it means to recognize a calling.

Spiritual Awakening 101 welcomes Dr. Dorothy Martin-Neville, a licensed psychologist and leadership coach who helps successful people reconnect with themselves and find meaning beyond their achievements.
Dorothy's calling began at age six, when growing up in a low income community led her to believe that life could hold more possibilities than the circumstances around her suggested. Her path took her from social work and life as a Catholic nun to psychology and leadership coaching. Each chapter deepened her understanding of how people grow, struggle, and find their way forward.
In this conversation, Dorothy explores a question many leaders face: What happens when you achieve the success you worked for, but still feel empty inside? She discusses how constant striving can distance us from who we are, why external success may not resolve that feeling, and how reconnecting with ourselves can make life more fulfilling.
Join Daniel Lucas for a conversation about purpose, leadership, spiritual growth, and living life more fully across our emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial well being.
In this enlightening episode of Spiritual Awakening 101, we welcome Scarlett Seebach, creator and practitioner of Astral Reiki. Scarlett shares how she combines Reiki with astral projection to offer distance based spiritual sessions intended to create tangible energetic sensations while helping clients relax their nervous systems. She also discusses her work with crystal consultations and Human Design readings, guiding people who want to deepen their understanding of spiritual tools and personal energy.
Scarlett explores how unresolved emotions, trauma, and energetic blockages may leave people feeling stuck or overwhelmed on their spiritual journeys. Through the story of a client longing to feel cherished, she reveals a powerful lesson about turning inward and learning to provide ourselves with the love, compassion, and appreciation we often seek from others. This meaningful conversation invites listeners to examine their emotional needs, reconnect with their inner selves, and discover how self-cherishment can become an important part of spiritual growth.
Spiritual Awakening 101 explores the inner journey of faith, purpose, consciousness, personal transformation, and the search for deeper meaning in life.
Each episode creates space for thoughtful conversations about spiritual growth, self-awareness, prayer, belief, inner healing, discipline, resilience, wisdom, and the experiences that challenge people to examine who they are and what they believe.
Through conversations with spiritual teachers, authors, faith leaders, scholars, researchers, practitioners, and individuals with meaningful personal journeys, the podcast examines spirituality from multiple perspectives while encouraging curiosity, reflection, and respectful dialogue.
Spiritual Awakening 101 does not assume that every guest or listener follows the same spiritual path. Instead, it explores the questions that have shaped humanity across cultures and generations: Who are we? What gives life meaning? How do suffering and adversity transform us? What is the relationship between faith and reason? And what does it mean to grow spiritually?
From ancient traditions and religious teachings to contemporary approaches to spirituality and personal transformation, Spiritual Awakening 101 invites listeners to explore the beliefs, practices, and experiences that shape the inner life.
After spending 18 years as a teacher and 17 years as a chemical researcher, Paul Burgmayer now dedicates much of his retirement to the practice of spiritual direction. Rooted in traditions dating back to the fourth and fifth centuries, spiritual direction began as a deeply personal, one-on-one form of mentorship, often practiced within religious communities. Interest grew rapidly during the 1970s, creating a need for more trained spiritual directors and inspiring the development of formal training programs. In his book, Paul highlights five pioneering programs that emerged between the early 1970s and 1978, followed by a second generation of programs modeled after them. From those original five, the field has expanded to at least 81 spiritual direction training programs across the United States and Canada, revealing the remarkable growth and evolution of this centuries-old practice.
