Dare: integrate a silly ritual into something we do everyday, the sillier the better. Elan and Katie get clear on the mundane area of their life that needs an uplift thanks to this dare from Scooby Doo. Katie spontaneously yodels to find her new silly dinner prayer. Elan reluctantly barks like a seal and his morning routine is born. He even commits to wearing the seal costume Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Playfulness becomes an act of presence for Katie and she loves the intentionality of this dare. Nobody was surprised to hear her yodeling before dinner and she rediscovered her playful connection to nourishment. Elan, still grumpy in the mornings, starts to get into his seal routine. He becomes more aware of his grouchy mood and evolves the routine to fit it energetically with a metal version of the morning: raging seal is born. We’re back! Katie and Elan get their first dare: get on stage together! They brainstorm ideas like “it's your body but my arms” cause Katie really wants to slap Elan on stage. But they land on a creative poem and act out that happily entertains their inner child and teenager. They discuss how the performance goes amazingly well and how grateful they are for this podcast. A Spiritual Dare is born, but Katie and Elan don’t even really know it.  They are hashing out an intro (that is eventually discontinued). Elan shares his trust issues and they discuss Paul Zweig stepping back from People House. Katie wants to lighten up and by 22.29 into the show they are entering the spiritual dare. “This podcast has taken a turn” Elan says at 27:06.
