In the second half of John 7 divisions among the people over Jesus begin to become clear. As He often does Jesus drives the conversation towards spiritual things and in os doing reveals the spiritual fault lines in the world. The line between spiritual death and spiritual life is Jesus and His cross. When we are spiritual dead we are ignorant to who He is. But when we come to Him for spiritual life we recieve the confirmation of the Holy Spirit.
