John 9:1-41

In this chapter, we witness the transformative journey of a blind man's faith. He initially saw Jesus as a man, then as a prophet, then as a person to follow as a disciple, and finally as the Son of Man and Lord that He is, after being healed by Him and seeing him face to face. Despite being thrown out of the synagogue by the Pharisees, the blind man's courage in defending Jesus did not go unnoticed. Jesus, acknowledging this act, revealed Himself to the man as the Lord. Jesus would sometimes heal our physical illnesses, other times restore us spiritually, or other times both, as He did here with this blind man. Jesus healed on the Sabbath to show the Pharisees that there is no limit as to when a healing can occur, for the law was in the past. He came to open the eyes of those who see Him as Lord. The Pharisees believed more in Moses than the Messiah, who was right in front of them.

Today's Application: Jesus can heal you physically, emotionally, and spiritually. You just have to follow the process. Our lives can turn out great even if we do not start out so well.
