As a man, the birth of a child is a humbling experience. He wants to help but ultimately it's out of his control. As the mom (and certainly God) do the heavy lifting, the dad could only pray and make himself readily available to serve.

Could our prayer and availability be what's needed most in the church? What if our leaders were marked by these qualities? Prayer. Availability. Perhaps, W.E. would see spiritual reproduction at its best.
