In part 3 of Pastor Ted's series "Spiritual Street Smarts", he taught that even in a crooked culture, believers can fully succeed because Jesus sends us out as sheep among wolves—not to imitate the world, but to follow the Shepherd with supernatural wisdom. He emphasized that the Holy Spirit gives us an advantage the world doesn’t have, teaching us skills, strategies, timing, and direction that lead to success and cause us to profit. The heart of “spiritual street smarts” is strategic obedience—moving quickly when God speaks, understanding that timing is everything, and delayed obedience is disobedience. He showed through personal stories that God’s instructions often don’t make sense in the natural, but obeying them brings overflow, while ignoring wisdom or refusing correction leads to struggle. Ultimately, conquering in a wicked world comes by discovering God’s plan, obeying the Spirit’s leading, embracing correction, and walking in the kind of wisdom that turns faith into real, tangible results.
