Splatter Brains

The triumphant return of Nicki! For a sad day.

The time has finally come in our busy lives to talk about the future of Splatter Brains and have some warm fuzzies about the past. We welcome a special guest (regular contributor) to give us our exit interviews. Relax, there are fart jokes.

Love and sloppy kisses from all of us to you. Follow us on our other projects:

The Brains welcome Brad-friend superstars Keith and Adam to help them try out the sci-fi horror themed RPG, Mothership, by Tuesday Knight Games! In a single session you can see the inner-workings of Brad's Scientist alter-ego "Bard Allen," his wingman, "N1C" (Run by Keith), and the loner working class cult member "Sawyer Jones" (Run by Adam). You'll never look at a screwdriver the same way again.

Check out Mothership here.

The brains put their heads together to see if "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" hold up. They read the exact story of "The Hook" the movies are vaguely based on. The exact one exactly as it was written.

Also we talk the trailer for the upcoming legacy sequel and may or may not get a bit grumpy and cynical, but that's for your to find out.

Brad and Alex discuss the inner workings of a movie about two hot people who wanna kiss so badly they end up stalked by a masked slasher with cool light bulbs on their face.

In this episode, Alex and Brad talk about (surprise!) comics! More specifically, they talk about Image Comics' Ice Cream Man, written by W. Maxwell Prince with art by Martin Morazzo and Chris O'Halloran. We delve into the depressing nature of the comic and other pieces of entertainment in the "bummer horror" genre, why we like it, and how we stave off the sadness of it all.

Brad and Alex talk movie adaptations of specifically non-King books. Brad becomes a heavy smoker and refuses to stop talking about it.

This week, Alex and Brad discuss 2025's The Monkey, directed by Osgood Perkins! We dive into the horror comedy, discuss the things we liked, the things we didn't, and whether or not this is one of the best Stephen King adaptations. Before diving into the film, we discuss some of the many comics and books we've been reading.
