On this episode of the Have Fun and Play podcast spoilers abound. Tom kicks things off with a criticism of Ralph Break the Internet. He didn’t like the movie’s message and felt it was heavy handed. Anna and Myron disagree with Tom, and unfortunately JT hasn’t seen the film yet so the ending was spoiled for her. Tom only brought up the movie to tie-in the film’s “Slaughter Race” game with Anna’s love of the Burnout series and excitement over Dangerous Driving. Some of the original forces behind Burnout formed a new company and Dangerous Driving aims to pick-up where Burnout left off in 2008.
Finally, Tom has a bone to pick with Myron about initiative in 4th Edition D&D. Myron and Tom debate whether initiative should be based on dexterity or intelligence, with Tom believing that a highly intelligent individual would use their smarts to gain an advantage in combat and Myron arguing that only dexterity matters. Put another way would Stephen Hawking get the jump on Georges St-Pierre? You decide!
