This week's guest is Michelle Freyre, who grew up in Puerto Rico and now resides with her family in Princeton, New Jersey.
Professionally, Michelle is currently the Global Brand President, Clinique, at The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC), where she is responsible for guiding the brand’s overall strategic vision and driving global growth. Under Michelle’s leadership to evolve and modernize the iconic brand, Clinique continues to be introduced to new and diverse audiences across generations, and has entered new territories most notably and recently, the Metaverse.
Michelle has a proven track for fostering workplace inclusivity receiving several awards and honors in recognition of her outstanding contributions, including being named to Fortune’s 2018 “50 Most Powerful Latinas in Business”, and named one of ALPFA’s “50 Most Powerful Latinas – 2021 Corporate Trailblazer”. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Directors of Cynosure, LLC, is a founding member of CHIEF, a private network designed to accelerate women in business and support women leaders. She is also a member of the PCPC Board.
Following her passion to develop future leaders, Michelle actively participates in corporate mentorship and sponsorship programs. She is the Executive Sponsor of ELC’s Hispanic Connections (HiC) ERG, serves in ELC’s Reverse Mentorship Program and actively mentors diverse talent across the organization. Together with fellow top ELC leaders, Michelle is a sponsor for ELC’s Open Doors Women’s Leadership Program, focused on her commitment to women’s empowerment and advancement.
