It was idle talk at first. Something one of the party heard in passing once at a market further South, at a produce stand of all places: “This is all I’m going to be able to get from Lingonstätt this year, so get it now!”
A couple of weeks later, in a different city, one of you heard it again, at a tavern: “No, Bastion. S’all I was able to get this season. Gonna wait 'til winter to break open that last cask from Lingonstätt.”
Whether they meant to or not, the adventurers find themselves up North as autumn settles. In a small city, at the lowest point of the Heathland Gap, they hear of a missive from Lingonstätt, asking for help.
