Have you ever paid for a private coach for your child? I know this is a controversial issue for some parents, but for many kids, it has been a career-shaping and character-building opportunity.

My guest on this podcast is an example of what private coaching can do. He is Jordan Fliegel, founder, president & chairman of CoachUp, the athlete training company, and co-founder &  managing director of Bridge Boys, a small seed-stage investment fund in Boston.

CoachUp’s mission is to help athletes reach the next level in sports and life. Reaching another level requires dedication and great coaching, and they believe that athletes should be supported in working toward their dreams. They offer coaching from over 13,000 coaches across the country in 25 sports.

“It’s been fun watching CoachUp grow into a national movement,” says Fliegel.

Before CoachUp, Jordan played professional basketball in Israel and Europe, coached youth basketball, and worked at an internet startup. He got his BA in Government & Philosophy at Bowdoin College, and his MBA at Tel Aviv University.

Are you Tired of Frazzled?

You can avoid being THAT parent. You know, the raving lunatic who steals the show on game day.

Let’s face it. The world of youth sports is getting more and more competitive. The season is hectic. Life gets crazy. Emotions can run high at any given time.

It’s easy to lose your cool and do something you later regret.

Been there. Done that.

However, there are things you can do to help your child have the best experience possible AND keep your sanity at the same time.

You really can be someone your child is happy to have supporting him from the sidelines!

And here’s how WE want to help.

We are Stacie and Janis, and we have teamed up to share some of our best sanity-saving secrets for parents of competitive athletes.

Stacie Mahoe from StacieMahoe.com is a former college softball player, coach, softball mom and coaching expert.
