Bob Ryan was a longtime member of the legendary Boston Globe sports staff that included Peter Gammons, Will McDonaugh, Leigh Montville, and Dan Shaughnessy. He was the Celtics beat writer and later a general columnist. He has also been a fixture on radio and ESPN and NESN television. He has authored books on basketball, football, and baseball.
