At the beginning of the pandemic, American sports fans were left with no live sports to watch for nearly four months. Then suddenly in June and July, all the major sports leagues returned to play at once creating a sports fan dream. Or so we thought. In reality, people aren't watching and viewership for all the leagues is down steeply from 2019, including the NBA finals, the Stanley Cup, and even NFL games. Why is that?
