This week's guest:
James Seyffart is a research analyst within Bloomberg Intelligence (Bloomberg's Research Department), focusing on the broader asset management industry with specialized expertise in the coverage of Funds like ETFs, Mutual Funds and Hedge Funds. He also aids colleagues in digital asset research and their overlap with traditional financial markets. This overlap gives him particular expertise in the area of Bitcoin Funds and digital asset funds more broadly. James' first interactions with Bitcoin were way back in 2011 after a friend downloaded Bitcoin mining software onto his laptop in college. He didn't actually take Bitcoin seriously until late 2016 after reading a whitepaper from Cathie Wood and Ark Invest. He's been covering Bitcoin and particularly the Bitcoin ETF Race professionally since at least 2017.
James is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) and a member of their New York societies/chapters. He has a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from The College Of New Jersey (TCNJ).
