Astronomy educator, John Heasley, who runs Driftless Stargazing, joins to talk about the upcoming lunar eclipse and other things we might see in the sky from the La Crosse area in the next couple of days and weeks. 

Heasley runs the Driftless Stargazing page on Facebook and also works live events at state parks, libraries and schools about Astronomy. 

He, of course, breaks down the lunar eclipse that's happening Thursday night into Friday morning this week and the best way to see that — plus why we're seeing that. What is a lunar eclipse?

We also get into Dark Sky parks, which there are a few in the making in Wisconsin, and also why La Crosse can't really be part of that plan.

And, one other thing we covered was the possibility of spotting the Northern Lights again in the next couple of weeks, plus why we've seen this phenomenon so often the past year or so.
