Join Tony Dinges, Chris Tucker, and Zeb Wever. My son DaVonte joins us as well so we have a little fun with him as well. We discuss Spottswood Poles a local black baseball player from Winchester, VA who played in the Negro Leagues. He was compared to Cool Papa Bell and sometimes referred to as "the black Ty Cobb". Poles also served in WWI as a part of the 369th Infantry Regiment (Harlem Hellfighters) earning 5 battle stars and a Purple Heart.
We feel Spottswood Poles needs national recognition for his accomplishments in baseball and shouldn't go unnoticed.
