Guest, Matt Rosenberg, author of, Notes of a Pissed-Off Native Son
My non-fiction book was released in September 2021 by Bombardier Books/Post Hill Press. "What Next, Chicago? Notes of a Pissed-Off Native Son" is based on extensive field interviews in Chicago in 2020, plus additional research, and draws on material from the thirty years I lived there. The book's focus areas are: race and responsibility, crime, education, corruption and governance, and neighborhood revitalization. My professional background: three decades-plus in journalism, communications, and public affairs. Previously I've worked as a top-tier editor, writer, researcher, reporter, policy advocate, and media liaison in the public and private sectors, and for NGOs. Hardcore day hiker bagging peaks across the Western U.S. - a 5,000-foot elevation gain makes my day.
