# Lake Fork Fishing Report
Well folks, it's a beautiful Wednesday morning here on Lake Fork, and let me tell you, the fishing conditions are looking mighty fine.
Water temps are sitting right around 59 degrees with stained conditions—perfect for targeting active fish. The lake is running just slightly low, but that's not slowing down the action one bit.
Crappie fishing right now is nothing short of on fire. I'm talking absolutely stellar conditions. Your best bet is working jigs and live minnows in the shallow timber and around the stumps. These fish are feeding aggressively, so don't be shy with your presentations.
Largemouth bass are showing good activity as well, especially early morning like this. Focus your efforts on the upper end of the lake in less than five feet of water. Spinnerbaits with white and chartreuse colors are producing solid results—think double Colorado blade setups. Also throw in some crankbaits, particularly flat-sided varieties in red crawdad patterns. The pros fishing this lake recently have been hammering them on jerkbaits too, especially in those 8 to 15-foot deeper zones around isolated timber and creek channels.
White bass and hybrids are cooperative on slabs and swimbaits if you want to mix things up. Catfish are feeding well on cut shad and live bait throughout the lake.
Here's where I'd be pointing my boat this morning: hit those big stump flats on the north end of the lake where the crappie are congregating, then work your way into the creek channels and drains where prespawn largemouths are staging. Those isolated trees in moderate depths are holding quality fish.
