Meet Heather:
The proposal. The preparation. The pronouncement. We hear their wedding vows over and over in our heads: better or worse; richer or poorer; sickness and in health; love and to cherish ‘til death do us part. But when the words turn emotionally abusive and the better waxes worse, what do you do? You’d think the normal channels help, but when you uncover a narcissistic behavior unwilling to change, what are your options? I’ve asked my friend, Heather to share her journey down that aisle and how God helped her understand and define the line of a covenant relationship.

MEET PAM…
Born to a single mother in the mid 1950’s who had been taken advantage of by a married man, Pam’s first six months of life were spent in an orphanage. Though her mother came back to rescue her from the system, she later found no safety amongst certain male relatives. From age 3 until 7, she was sexually molested and repeatedly fondled and groped in her teens.

Meet Jessica…
Mother-child relationships come natural, right? Maybe for some, but when a wedge threatens that natural bond, how does a person bridge the gap? This interview with Jessica Cherie Errico, author of The Mother Gap: A Daughter’s Search for Connection, honors the woman who gave her birth. “I understand the deep pain that grips your hearts. Though we can’t undo the influence our moms have had on us, we can seek healing in the ways we relate to them.”

Meet Lydia…
“First comes love, then comes marriage. Then comes a baby in a baby carriage.” How many resonate with the childhood, jumping rope sing song? But when the stanza is only half finished and no child finds life in your womb, what do you do? Hear Lydia’s story of how she and her husband navigated the challenges, obstacles and triumphs of parenting outside the womb. We think of it as adoption, yet every woman faced with this situation considers it mothering from the heart.

Meet Greta…
