If you have ever lost a job or broken up with a special friend or even been through a divorce, you'll likely know well the experience of being spurned.  It hurts when we're not taken seriously, cherished or honoured.  What would God say to us who are surrounded by tons of alternatives to believing in and serving him?  What is the deterrent to abandoning God?
