Jesus never forced His way, His teachings or His beliefs onto anyone. He simply invited people to come and see for themselves. As believers, we are to be wise in our treatment of those outside the faith and purposeful in our invitations. Instead of standing on street corners shouting for people to come to The Bridge, it would be better for us to invest into friendships and wait for God to open doors for us to invite. Often, these door openings become apparent when people express one or more of the Three “NOTS”—“I’m NOT from here; Things are NOT going well; I was NOT expecting this”. The Bridge Squad listens attentively for these NOTS and then offers an invitation to simply come and see what The Bridge has to offer.
