Two things went wrong with this video lol. I was very exhausted while recording and I also didn't set up the correct microphone correctly. Sorry. I am still a rookie I guess lol. Thank you for listening, I'll make sure tomorrows podcast ends up better. I placed a paragraph from the Essay I wrote about millennial coddling their children, plus a quote from Seneca.
The new generation of children are taught poor values by their parents and are not educated on how to live in reality. They are taught that they deserve certain rights, and all their dreams can come true, but this is a delusion from what life is. Life as an adult is pushing a boulder uphill, but doing it with a smile on our face. Most children growing up now don’t understand that reality is tough, but that diamonds are created under pressure, and rights are a privilege everyone must earn. Uneducated people always want others to stoop to their level because they truly don’t understand how society works. Lenore Skenazy acknowledges this fact beautifully by writing, “Imagine if there were a class that would teach our kids how to be self-reliant and responsible. They would probably be happier because of it. It would have a waiting list a mile long (Skenazy, p. 2)!” The uneducated promote communism, and Marxism because nobody taught them how to thrive in a capitalistic society. This is the beginning of the end because the moment the new generation of Americans normalize disdain for meritocracy, we begin our Civil War against democracy.
“For men is a rational animal. Man’s ideal state is realized when he has fulfilled the purpose for which he was born. And what is it that reason demands of him? Something very easy - that he live in accordance with his own nature. Yet this is turned into something difficult by the madness that is universal among men: we push one another into vices. And how can people be called back to spiritual well-being when no one is trying to hold them back and the crowd is urging them on?” - Seneca
