For the first hour of the show, we’re going to reach back into maritime history with Vermont author David Macaulay to discuss the incredible superliner S.S. United States. He wrote about the ship in his book “Crossing on Time” and he sailed on it as a child for his first trip to America. After that, we check in with UVM Political Science Professor Matt Carlson for a report from the Olympic Games in Tokyo. And we finish the show back out on the high seas when we learn about Healing Winds, a non-profit dedicated to taking cancer patients and health care heroes on sailing trips out on Lake Champlain.
