This podcast explains and interprets the signs, symbols and images found in Revelation 12:6. This verse describes the premortal apostasy in heaven on Kolob that began after the rebellion of Lucifer during the grand council in heaven, before the war in heaven began in Revelation 12:7. Revelation 12:6 tells us that after Lucifer’s rebellion, the woman representing the premortal church fled into the wilderness. The wilderness represents the celestial residence of God where his throne is located. In this symbolic wilderness, the noble and great spirits who were members of the premortal church were nurtured in the presence of God for 1260 days of years. These 1260 Kolob years are equal to 453.6 million years on earth where one day with God in heaven is as a thousand years on earth.

The sign of the premortal apostasy in heaven on Kolob has its likeness on earth during the Great Apostasy during the dark ages. As the dark ages were a time of spiritual darkness and suffering among mankind, so also the 1260 Kolob years of premortal apostasy on Kolob were a time of spiritual darkness when the undecided spirit children of God from the grand council were in the bondage of sin and were tormented by Lucifer on Kolob to aid in the process of their repentance.
